Do you have a friend or relative who is an older driver that you have concerns about his or her driving skills or abilities? Have you recently thought about having a conversation with an aging parent, friend or relative that pertained to his or her driving? Put yourself in their shoes. It's a good idea to plan how you're going to approach the subject before bringing it up. Take time to consider how the situation looks for the driver's point of view and what driving means to this person. Given how charged the driving issue is, you may need to think of this as a process that will take some adjustment and fine-tuning. The best time to have these discussions is before they are needed.
